Berlin Comic Con 2018

When Laurie Holden aka Marita Covarubias from The X-Files comes to Germany, even if it is the other end of the country, a Phile should go, right? That was my intention when I booked my trip and comic con tickets and I couldn't wait to have another cast photo on my holy wall. So far the idea...

On October 3rd I got a message from a friend, I was looking forward to see in Berlin, saying "Laurie cancelled Berlin". 

So what now? Cancelling the whole thing, because the purpose I planned all this just vanished into thin air? Throwing my train ticket into the trash can? No way! I went to Berlin!

Since Tanya couldn't make it to the Frankfurt Comic Con in Mai 2018, my Melonie friends and I have that tradition with our "Where the Fuck is...?" poster, so this time Denise was in Australia and couldn't be with us, so we had to chase Michael Rooker for her (check out the link below, I filmed the whole panel and put it up on my other YouTube Chanel).

The Michael Rooker Panel was already worth the whole trip, because it was totally different to the "standard panels" you know from other conventions. He absolutely did his own thing with running around, asking people questions, but check out yourself in the video below :)

Trying out the "Harry Potter Broomstick Riding Rodeo" was pretty much fun and even harder than you expect it to be, but a definitely minus point is that they charge you again here, although you already paid your entrance fee. But the price politic of Comic Con is another topic...

Meeting up with friends I rarely see due to distance was amazing, we had a blast and great food!

The trip was more than worth it with Laurie or without her, finally met some new and old friends and we had a wonderful time together.

Can't wait for our Geek Year 2019!!!
